Quality policy

  •      Draka in Norway shall supply products that fully comply with customers' requirements and expectations. For us satisfied customers are the best proof of good quality, and of vital importance for the company's profitability and competitiveness.

  • ·     All our employees are responsible for the quality of their own work. By involving all employees in processes that concern them, they will be motivated and develop their competence. This gives good performances and perfect deliveries.

  • ·      Clear roles and responsibilities promote good quality. Quality assurance is therefore a prioritised management responsibility.

  • ·      Process understanding, comprehensive viewing, and continuous improvement shall characterize our quality work and ensure that we achieve our objectives. Frequent measurements and evaluations of our performances shall ensure that we continuously improve ourselves.

  • ·      We have zero tolerance for faults and will therefore give preventive work and actions the highest priority.

  • ·      Systematic quality management work shall be secured by maintaining an ISO 9001 certified quality assurance system that is regularly subject to external auditing.

  • ·      Our quality assurance system guarantees that the organisation follows statutory laws and regulations, and the management systems for health, safety and environment are therefore integral parts of our total quality system.

 

Environmental Policy

 

  • ·       Draka shall be social responsible, distinct, and environmentally conscious company. To prevent that our operations inflict damages to external environment shall be as natural for us as to protect the internal working environment.

  • ·       We shall continuously work to improve our processes, products, and services so they have the least possible impact on the environment. This we shall achieve by using environmentally friendly technology, reducing consumption of resources and emissions, and by stimulating to increased recycling of waste from the operations.

  • ·       Environmental management is an important leadership responsibility, and the management’s visible engagement shall ensure that we continuously improve our environmental performances, strengthen the environmental competence, and comply with environmental laws and regulations.

  •       As a proof of compliance to a good international standard our environmental management system shall be certified according to ISO 14001. We shall be open about our environmental performances towards employees, authorities, and other stakeholders.

                                                   

 

HSE Policy

·      At Draka safety is paramount. Our objective is to create a good and health promoting workplace for all employees, without physical or psychological harmful effects.

·      The management sets annual HSE objectives for the company with priority on reduction of accidents and sickness absence, and ensures by establishing and following up actions plans that we continuously work to achieve the objectives.

·       HSE is an important leadership responsibility and the management’s visible commitment shall ensure that all employees get the appropriate information and training, that work routines are followed, risks revealed, deviations corrected, and preventive actions performed.

·      All employees have a duty to contribute to actions that create a good and safe working environment, to follow all safety rules, and to use mandatory personal protective equipment. In addition we shall maintain a competent industrial defence organisation and an approved health service.

·      To ensure that we manage our HSE system in a good way complying with statutory rules and regulations, we maintain a HSE management system in line with Norwegian safety laws and OHSAS 18001.
